Heiligtag Funeral Home was founded in the 1800s in Antonia, Missouri, by August Heiligtag. In addition to being a funeral home, it was also a feed, hardware and woodworking store. In the 1930s, the funeral home moved to Imperial, Missouri. A second firm opened in 1967 to serve the families of Arnold, Missouri, which was operated by Art and Elmer Heiligtag. In the late 1990s, the Imperial location closed.
Ted Fendler Funeral Home was founded in 1967 by Ollie Fendler and Ferd B. Lang Jr. In 1984, Mr. Lang purchased the funeral home and changed the name to Lang-Fendler Funeral Home. In 2002, Lang-Fendler Funeral Home and Heiligtag Funeral Home merged together, creating Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
Today, Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home is a proud member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. We are committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a standard of service that is 100 percent guaranteed.
